He was Sergei Korolev, and he was born here, in Zhytomyr, in what was then the Russian Empire and is now Ukraine. Today the house where he came into the world anchors a museum devoted to the space age he did more than almost anyone to create, a place where you can stand beside hardware that has actually been to orbit and to the Moon.]]></description>
